TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Course Description

The TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the nationally recognised standard for those wishing to work as a trainer and/or assessor.

This training program applies to a broad range of industries and fields of work including the mining, resources and infrastructure industries, building, retail and other levels of supply chains, management, hospitality, manufacturing, mechanical and auto, health care and many other fields of work.

To become a qualified trainer/assessor you must hold the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
This will allow you to train and assess in:

 

    • Private training organisations such as RTOs
    • A workplace or industry context
    • A TAFE institute
    • or as an independent training contractor

 

This qualification reflects the role of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

The following units of competency are included in this qualification:

 

    • TAEASS401B Plan assessment activities and processes
    • TAEASS402B Assess competence
    • TAEASS403B Participate in assessment validation
    • TAEDEL401A Plan, organise and deliver group based learning
    • TAEDEL402A Plan, organise and facilitate learning in the workplace
    • TAEDES401A Design and develop learning programs
    • TAEDES402A Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
    • TAEASS301B Contribute to assessment
    • TAEDEL404A Mentor in the workplace
    • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

 

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT TIME FRAMES **
This training course is conducted over a 5 day period with additional time being required to perform activities at your own (or an affiliated) workplace/organisation.
Due to the volume of material required to be covered in this program, you may be need to allow extra time at home each night during the course to review the training material and to complete workbook activities. We would also like to advise that after the completion of the 5 day classroom component participants will be required to complete additional activities at their own (or affiliated) workplace or organisation. You may take up to 12 months to complete these external activities. This is an integral component of the overall TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment program and therefore NHST will still be available for consultation and assistance as part of the program as a whole.
 Once your workbook has been returned to NHST and all requirements have been sufficiently met (including the completion of all relevant forms and attachments) your formal Qualification will be mailed to you (or you may pick it up from our office) within 30 calendar days as per regulatory requirements.

 

Course Outcomes

On successful completion of this training course, candidates will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Qualification TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Enterprise Trainer and Assessor Skill Set

Course Description

The TAE Enterprise trainer and assessor skill set consists of 4 units from the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

 

    • TAEASS401B Plan assessment activities and processes
    • TAEASS402B Assess competence
    • TAEASS403B Participate in assessment validation
    • TAEDEL301A Provide work skill instruction

 

This Skill Set has been developed for candidates who need to supervise or conduct training and assessment relating to their own organisation's internal training requirements or when working in partnership with a Registered Training Organisation.

This program is delivered over two days but will require some preparation work.

On enrolment, you will recieve pre-course instructions as well as some study material and this which will help perpare you for this course.

 

Course Outcomes

On succsessful completion of the course you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

You will also be eligible to undertake further training at any stage to complete the remaining 6 units to obtain your full qualification.

For those who have experience in training and assessing at thier workplace, an RPL process is available but solid documentation as evidence of your work history will need to be provide to New Horizons Safety and Training Services.
