Course Description

This refresher training course has been especially developed for those needing to refresh both of the following units of competency:
  • RIIWHS202D Enter and work in confined space
  • RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights

This course provides the opportunity to refresh both units in the one course.
This is achieved by combining fundamental and common elements that make up each of the two units.


Course Topics

The topics covered throughout this training course are as follows:

    • Identify work requirements
    • Work procedures and instructions for the task
    • Accessing and installing equipment
    • Entry requirements for confined spaces
    • Working in confined spaces
    • Performing work at heights
    • Required documentation
    • Prepare for work
    • Risk assessment
    • Identifying appropriate equipment (harnesses and fall restraint systems etc.)
    • Fall prevention methods
    • Suspension trauma
    • Safety monitoring
    • and cleaning up the work

 


Course Outcomes

On successful completion of this training course, candidates will be issued with a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for the above units of competency.

 

Course Pre-Requisites

Participants will be required to provide original Statements of Attainment (for both units) and a Third Party Skills Validation Report to be completed by your supervisor or manager.
The Third Party Skills Validation Report will be provided to you once you have enrolled.

 

Language, Literacy and Numeracy

This training program requires basic reading, writing and numeracy skills.
